Do not assume a missing roster entry means no arrest occurred. A person may have been released, transferred, booked under a spelling variant, not yet posted, or held outside county custody.

Sarasota County Booking Process
The SCSO Jail Booking page describes a 24-hour intake process. Arresting agencies complete paperwork in the pre-booking area, and DUI Intoxilyzer testing can occur off the expanded sally port. Jail staff check warrants and charges, log property, photograph and fingerprint the arrestee, complete medical screening, and conduct a pre-trial services interview before full classification.
The booking area has 40 open seats and eight holding cells. The jail reports about 50 to 60 bookings per day and about 15 to 20 releases per shift. First appearance is held at the jail Monday through Friday at 1:00 p.m. and on weekends or holidays at 9:00 a.m. At that hearing, a judge addresses bond and early case issues.

Sarasota County Jail Visitation Rules

Sarasota County Sheriff's Office records can be requested online through GovQA, in person at the Records Section, by mail to Attention: Records, P.O.
